Temporary Levees

Levees, dikes, embankments, flood banks or stop banks are used to manage or prevent water flow into specific land regions. The main purpose of an artificial levee is to prevent flooding of the adjoining area. The One Ton Bag™ is a rapid, cost efficient method to build a temporary levee.

When building temporary levees, the One Ton Bag™ with the Duffle Top does the job. These bags are approximately 3 feet by 3 feet square and about 3 1/2 feet high (bigger bags are also available). The bag has a top closure to protect the content of the bag, should water get above the bag and potentially wash away the content.

The bags can be filled on location or at a yard and trucked to the job site.

It can easily be maneuvered to the right location and when the work is completed, it is easily removed.
